Ann Soldo Elementary School String Story Project
Fred Mindlin, CCWP Associate Director for Technology Integration and Project Director for our collaboration with NWP's Maker Project, had the opportunity to serve as a long-term substitute teacher in a second grade classroom at Ann Soldo School in the Fall of 2010. As part of writing instruction for the class, Fred introduced string games (Cat's Cradle) to provide a shared experience and opportunities for collaboration, peer teaching, and an activity to increase finger strength and dexterity for learning keyboarding.
Here's our first video about this project.
