What do we do?

The Central California Writing Project seeks to promote exemplary instruction of writing in every classroom in the central California tri-county area.  We offer a variety of programs and professional learning opportunities that support ongoing conversations among educators– in different school contexts– and with a diversity of students at all levels—from kindergarten through university—on the theory and practice of teaching writing.

CCWP offers a variety of open programs in which teachers can participate and learn from our network of teacher consultants and each other.

CCWP works with teachers and administrators to develop a professional learning plan that addresses specific, context-driven pedagogical needs.

CCWP invites teachers to explore their own pedagogical challenges and questions through ongoing inquiry into practice in our invitational leadership institutes.
